A good recipe that can be used both as a starter or as a main dish, and can be served warm or cold.
Ingredients
1 kilogram octopus |
7 grams garlic cloves |
2 medium size onions ( 150 grams ) |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
parsley leaves |
2 tablespoon olive oil |
200 ml dry white wine |
In a medium sized pot place the octopus and cover with water. Add the lemon juice and cook the octopus for about 1 hour. Chop the onion into small pieces and crash the garlic. In a frying pan heat the olive oil and cook the onion and garlic.
After 1 hour remove the octopus from heat and drain it from water. Chop the octopus into large chunks.
Toss the octopus in the frying pan along with the cooked onions and garlic. Pour the wine in the frying pan and cook until the wine evaporates. Garnish with chopped parsley leaves and server warm or store it in fridge and serve it cold.
