A simple cookies recipes, cut out into heart shapes and dipped from one side into chocolate. Good to taste during breakfast or at tea time.
Ingredients
350 grams self raising flour |
2 medium size eggs |
100 grams sugar |
120 grams margarine |
50 grams cheese spread |
1 lemon zest |
200 grams white/milk chocolate |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Sift the flour into a medium sized bowl. Add the eggs, sugar and lemon zest and vanilla. Use wooden spoon or fork to beat the ingredients together. When all the ingredients starts to combine together use your hands to work the dough until you obtain smooth textured. Cover the dough and let it rest in a cool place for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough to a thickness of around 3mm, use a heart shaped cookie cutter ( or use any shape to your liking ) to cut out heart shapes from the dough. Gently place the cut outs onto a baking sheet covered with wax paper. Place into oven for about 20 minutes until the cookies have a golden brown colour. Let the cookies cool down.
In a separate bowl cut the chocolate into small chunks and place into oven for about 30 seconds or until the chocolate melts. Dip the cookies from one end into the melted chocolate and let it rest in a cool place until the chocolate dry up.
